The Albino Caiman is a species of aggressive animal in added V.2.0.1 It is only available in the Spirits of Amazonia Game Mode.
Basic Info[ | ]
The albino caiman is a extremely large crocodilian reptile. Due to it's albinism, its has white leathery skin unlike the black caiman. As the albino caimans skin is sensitive to sunlight, it can only be seen at night. This would explain why this animal has grown to a monstrous size, having been able to avoid any predators or humans who hunt during the day. It lives in a small cave in the swamp near the steamboat and can only be found once all clues have been collected for the white demon legend.
It require several hits in order to be killed. As with all caimans, the player should avoid getting too close to the beasts mouth as it's bite can cause lethal damage to the player. The albino caiman can be killed using ranged weapons such as spears or bow. The most effective way to kill the albino caiman is by throwing a spear directly in to its head while it is slowly advancing towards the player.
Once dead, it can be harvested for four raw caiman meat, four bones and a caiman paw. The meat then can be cooked, smoked, stewed or dried and eaten.
