The Baby Tapir is a species of passive animal in Green Hell. Added during the Spirits of Amazonia Part Two Update V.2.1.0.

Basic Info

The baby tapir is a young calf. They have a dark coat which is covered with stripes and spots. They can be found, usually in pairs, near small rock pools and only appear at night when it's raining.

Baby tapirs are very skittish, and will run away if the player gets too close. They can easily be killed with a head shot. Should the player miss and hit the baby tapirs body, they will run a very short distance before bleeding out and dying. Once dead the baby tapir can be harvested for meat, bones and a baby tapir skin.
