The Banana Plant is a plant added in V.0.1 to Green Hell.

Basic Info

The Banana Plant is a large, tree-like plant with a thick green stem and long, smooth leaves. When fruiting, the tree will have a red-purple, bulbous pod hanging below the leaves, with a number of bananas bunched along the stem of the pod. The bananas can be collected by pressing E and can be eaten as a good source of carbohydrates. Once all the bananas have been collected, the red pod will disappear.

Banana plants can also be cut down for banana leaves, which can be used for building and crafting. The older trees also produce dry leaves, which can be used as tinder for fires.

Players should be careful when walking around banana plants, as Brazilian wandering spiders can often be found nearby.
Centipedes can also be found when not taking a banana leaf for a long time and are more commonly found on them more than palm leaves.

Plant Cultivation

The player can grow the banana plant by harvesting its seeds from bananas. The seeds can then be used in the large planting box. Once the plant has grown and fully matured, it will provide a constant supply of bananas for the player. Optionally, it can be cut down for leaves.
