Body Inspection
Body Inspection is a mechanic that allows the player to diagnose themselves and heal their body.
Gameplay[]
When the player receives a wound or ailment, the body inspection icon will be displayed above the health meter. The player will need to check each limb to find the affected area, although the timing and expected cause of the injury can narrow down which body part was probably hurt.
To inspect the player's limbs, press C
to bring up the radial menu and press the body inspection (magnifying glass) icon.
The body inspection mode will display a radial menu showing the each of the player's four limbs, starting with the left arm. The player can click on each of limbs from the menu to view them. By pressing and holding down the Right Mouse Button
and moving the mouse, the player can rotate limbs to view both the front and back of the arms and legs.
Once the player has diagnosed themselves, they then can try to treat the wound or ailment.
Tip: When using body inspection to treat a wound, once the correct treatment has been picked up from the backpack, a white circle will be displayed on the wound. This can be helpful when searching for wounds in the dark without a near by light source.
Note that if the wrong type of treatment is picked up--for example, if a Tobacco Dressing is chosen to treat an Abrasion--the circle icon will not appear.
