The Cassava is a plant added to Green Hell in update V.0.1.
Basic Info[]
The Cassava is large bush with round, red, six-petaled flowers and wide, fan-shaped leaves. Cassava plants can be found all around the rainforest. The plant can be cut down by most weapons and tools and produces one Cassava Bulb (initially called Unknown Bulb until you either name it or discover it from another source).
Once collected, the Cassava Bulb, can be eaten raw (gives food poisoning), cooked or boiled. Consuming the bulb provides carbohydrates. It can also be harvested for 2 Cassava Root. Unlike most plants, you don't get both a flower and a consumable out of this plant and will have to choose to eat (preferably boiled for a massive 50 carbs) one bulb or break it up to create two plants. As you will destroy the plant to harvest it, it is best to have two large boxes dedicated to this plant so that one may be harvested for food and the other cut down to replant both boxes.
