The Hand Drill is a tool which was added in update V.0.1 to Green Hell.

Basic Info

Hand drills are basic fire starting tools. The player first learns how to craft the hand drill as part of the tutorial. The durability of the hand drill will vary depending on the players crafting skill level.

To use the hand drill open the backpack and select the fire tool section, click on the hand drill using the right mouse button and select use from the drop down menu. The player will then need to add tinder from the backpack on to the hand drill. The fire starting animation will play, if successful the player can then use the embers to ignite a fire.

While using the hand drill when tired, the player may find they wont have enough stamina to complete the fire starting process. To temporary gain more stamina the player can rest by sleeping or eating some high energy food. The players overall stamina for using fire tools can also be permanently increased through the fire starting skill.
