The Hyacinth Macaw is a species of Passive animal in Green Hell.

Basic Info

Hyacinth Macaw are blue and yellow colored birds that can be seen flying around the jungle canopy. They are mainly located near rivers and swamp areas and will squawk loudly when the player is near.

Hyacinth macaws can occasionally be seen landing on rocks and fallen trees. Using a ranged weapon such as the bow and arrow or by throwing stones, the player can kill the hyacinth macaw while it is resting. Walking too close to the hyacinth macaw while it is perched will cause it to fly away. Once killed, they can be harvested for one macaw meat and six feathers.

Unlike scarlet macaws, dead hyacinth macaws cannot be found on the rainforest floor.
