The Jaguar is a species of aggressive animal in Green Hell.

Basic Info

Jaguars will attack if the player wanders too close to them and may result in Lacerations, and even death.

If you stare at the jaguar, it won't attack you as quickly, but if you turn your back, the jaguar will attack you immediately.

Unprovoked, Jaguars may remain stationary or move about slowly, and can be heard from a relatively safe distance.

The player may defend themselves using any weapon, though only certain ones, such as the Spear being thrown or using a bow, may be useful in killing a Jaguar.

The most effective way to kill a jaguar in-game is throwing a spear or shooting an arrow directly to its head. It is easily done when it is making its way slowly to the player.

Known Spawn Locations

• Jaguars can usually be found in the 'General Area' of the following listed coordinates, as they tend to roam across large areas and thus may be found anywhere in the general vicinity of the following:

- 32 w, 26 s ~ East of Anaconda Refugee Camp

- 28 w, 23 s ~ General Area of Airfield

- 25 w, 23 s ~ Can occasionally be found in this area

- 40 w, 21 s ~ Can be found in the area from N/NW of Plane Crash and N to the Native Camp

- 47 w, 20 s ~ From the nearby stream, east up the hill

- 50 w, 23 s ~ From N of pond SE to Stream by Drug Facility

- 50 w, 26 s ~ Area around Drug Facility

- 34 w, 22 s ~ Pretty much the entire valley encompassing Abandoned Village, Grappling points, caves and Story Start Location can have one or more in this very large area.

• Note: Some of these locations might be mistaken with Pumas and/or Spawn Pumas instead. Either way, these locations will have some type of big cat.
