The Mystery Snail is a passive animal in Green Hell added during the Water Update V.0.3.0.

Basic Info

Mystery snails live on the rocks and logs, which can be found along the edges of riverbanks, lakes and ponds. To pick up a snail and place it the backpack, the player will need to press E while looking at it. The mystery snail provides a small amount of protein, it can be cooked, smoked, or used to make soup, however it can not be dried.

It is usually more convenient to eat the snail raw, as it does not give the player any negative effects when eaten, unlike other raw meats, even though Jake complains when eating it raw.

Harvesting

The mystery snail cannot be harvested but can be cooked and eaten whole.
