Basic Info[]
The Red-Bellied Piranha is a freshwater fish that inhabits South American rivers, floodplains, lakes and reservoirs. Although often described as extremely predatory and mainly feeding on fish, their dietary habits vary extensively and they will also take plant material, They are known for their sharp teeth and powerful jaws.
Piranha teeth are often used as tools themselves to modify other tools, This has been documented among several South American tribes, in the current state of the game it's only possible to remove infested worms with their bones.
Players entering waters inhabited by the fish face risk of Laceration wounds or worse death.
Players who want to catch them may use any spear, fishing rod, fishing rod trap, stick fish trap and large stick fish trap baited with Unknown Mushroom 1, Larva, discus fish or angelfish.
They are most commonly found on the beach of the Fishing Dock as well in the river in the south areas near the Boat and the Swamp.
