Basic Info[]
The snare trap is a re-usable trap that can be used on medium sized animals. If the trap is placed on a common animal route it does not require baiting to regularly catch animals like armadillo, capybara, peccary and tapir. A well placed trap is an effective way to ensure a constant source of Protein.
When an animal is caught in the snare trap the player will need to cut it down. Once the animal drops to the ground, the player will have the option to pick up the animal if caught alive. The player can then either carry the living animal to the animal pen or kill the animal by hitting it with a weapon while it is still lying on the ground. Once the animal is dead the option to harvest can be selected.
