The Spike Trap is a human trap in Green Hell, added in the Combat Update V.0.4.0.
Basic Info[]
Spike traps are defensive traps intended to injure or kill natives. They are activated when stepped on and need to be rearmed with a small leaf pile once triggered. They are reasonably powerful and can kill a native when stepped on. Players must take care not to step on the spike trap, as it will injure the player causing a scratch & abrasion.
To unlock the Spike Trap blueprints, a player must first have crafted a Weak Spear.
Strategically placed spike traps can also be used to kill animals. They can be placed along an animals walking route or the player can scare and steer animals towards the trap.
