The Weak Spear is a tool and melee weapon which was added in update V.0.1 to Green Hell.

Basic Info

The simplest spear made from just a long stick. It should be replaced with a stronger spear as soon as possible. Especially with the better Stone Spear improving on all stats, including damage and reach, only requiring readily available materials (i.e. two Small Stones for a Stone Blade and one Liana for a Rope), holding on to a Weak Spear is not advisable.

However since it can easily be made cheaply and in large quantities, a few of these can serve as projectiles when arrows are not available, particularly in the beginning of the game or in unexpected tense situations.

The different spears feature different attack reach in Green Hell. Amongst the early spear types (Weak Spear, Stone Spear, Bone Spear and Obsidian Spear), the Weak Spear has the second shortest reach with only the Obsidian Spear being shorter.
